Our Top 5 Podcasts for Personal Growth

We love podcasts here at Philip Marie! At any given time during the day you can find Cassie walking around the house baby wearing and listening to her favorites. PJ listens to them on repeat during his commute and at work when he can. Podcasts are full of information and inspiration are a perfect substitution if you find you don’t have much time during the day to sit down and read books. We have both listened to podcasts for years and can attribute so much of what we know now to stories we have heard along the way. Here are our top 5 favorites on personal growth, leadership, and motivation.

  1. Naptime Empires with Nikki Elledge Brown

Naptime Empires is Cassie’s new favorite. Nikki Elledge Brown talks with momprenuers about running family focused businesses and the ups and downs of building and running their empires while raising their families. Nikki combines solo shows with interview/co-host style episodes to bring stories and inspiration. Check her out at www.naptimeempires.com/podcast or search Naptime Empires on the podcast app.

  1. The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast

This is also a podcast that Cassie listens to on a regular basis. Lauryn Evarts from The Skinny Confidential and her husband and serial entrepreneur Michael Bosstick are freaking hilarious. They share stories about their life and brand, tips for healthy living, entrepreneurship, and personal growth, and they bring guests on the show to share in the fun. They are super raw and real and hold nothing back, so if you have sensitive ears around we suggest listening to this one with your headphones in. You can find their latest podcasts on www.theskinnyconfidential.com or search Skinny Confidential on the podcast app.

  1. The Ziglar Show

The Ziglar show is an amazing podcast to listen to if you need a good dose of motivation and encouragement. Members of the Ziglar team share stories from entrepruenuers and motivational speakers to give you endless inspiration in your earbuds. They also frequently share audio of Zig Ziglar himself and discuss his message and legacy with his son Tom Ziglar. We recommend listening to this one if you are feeling kind of blah during the day. Go to www.ziglarshow.com or search The Ziglar Show on the podcast app to listen.

  1. The Tony Robbins Podcast

We are both huge fans of Tony Robbins. We recently watched his documentary “I Am Not Your Guru” on Netflix and were really inspired by his desire to help people live a life of fulfillment. We love being able to hear his perspective on life, growth, and achievement almost on a daily basis. New episodes are uploaded every other week, but the podcast has been around for a while so if you’re just now listening to it there are tons of episodes to keep you engaged. To listen you can visit www.tonyrobbins.com/podcast or search The Tony Robbins Podcast in the podcast app.

  1. The Entreleadership Podcast

This podcast is our favorite by far. This podcast spun off Dave Ramsey’s best selling book Entreleadership. Host Ken Coleman interviews business leaders on topics like personal growth, leadership, motivation, entrepreneurship and more. We have been listening to this podcast for years and there are always nuggets of wisdom that are so foundational to learning and growing and becoming the person you were created to be. Ken Coleman often interviews authors, so you always have recommendations for a good book to read as a follow up. Read more about this podcast at www.entreleadership.com/posts.podcast or search Entreleadership in the podcast app.
